So, What About Assistive Technology?

Both IEP and 504 plans make it more accessible for individuals with disability to access assistive technology resources.

504 plans may make it possible for individuals to utilize assistive technology in the workplace and protect them from discrimination.

An IEP in k-12 education makes accessing assistive technology affordable. An IEP allows a student to integrate assistive technology in their projected goals and therapy.

Overall, assistive technology can be integrated into all aspects of life. If needed, it should follow an individual and work alongside them as they tackle life endeavors.
